We’ve got a bit of a change around for our New Music posts. When I first started doing them things were mostly soundcloud and youtube links, but as time has gone on more and more things have ended up on Spotify. Initially Spotify and WordPress (that we use to write the blog) didn’t play nicely at all and all I could post was a link. Then I could embed tracks but the formatting was quite frankly awful. So now I’m going to put together a playlist and embed that instead. There’ll still be a few bits and pieces that are listed elsewhere, so I’ll put them at the bottom of the post, but to make things easier for you (and for me) just hit play now: Continue reading
It feels like it’s been a little while since our last New Music Roundup, what with the last few posts being the gig preview for the month a Brighton Rocks, and the Kitfest gallery, so we’ve got a lot of catching up to do:

We’re playing catchup this week, after a gig preview last week and the Great Escape the week before that there’s a lot of ground to cover. We’ll also be introducing a simplification in how we present the tracks too, so that hopefully we don’t get so behind in future.
Here’s this week’s new music roundup, just in time for Easter, and with two of Brighton’s biggest bands with brand new releases. New first of these is The Go! Team who shared the video for their new single The Only Thing New is U Finding Out About It. Previously only available as a bonus track on the Japanese version of Semicircle, it’s now out as a single for the rest of the world:
It’s been a few weeks since out last post for which we can only apologise – we had a holiday, then jet lag, and only now we’re back on the blogging wagon. In that time both The Magic Gang and Fickle Friends have released their albums, and it seems to have been one of the busiest periods for other bands to share new music. We’d have no hope of catching up if we wrote up our new music post the way we normally do, with us much info as we have and details of any upcoming gigs, so for this post we’re going to keep things brief – just names of bands and tracks – and hopefully by next week we can get back to normal.
