New Brighton Music

Here’s this week’s new music post, which starts a bit differently from normal because the first track I wanted to share isn’t online as far as I can see – It’s the Record Store Day release from Blood Red Shoes’ Jazz Life record label, and the release is called AA Sessions Volume One. It features contributions from AK/DK, Blood Red Shoes, Tigercub, Sick Joy and Projector. Hopefully by the time you read this they might still have a copy at Resident. If not, give Cult Hero, Vinyl Revolution or Rarekind a try. There’s only 500 for the whole country though, so good luck.

We mentioned Pete Fij in our new music post yesterday – he’s on tour currently midway through a tour of Europe, and plays at Latest Music Bar on Sunday 14th April.

Our second festival to mention this month is Bad Pond Festival, which is happening at Concorde 2 on Saturday 20th April. The overall line up features a lot of bands from across the country, but also includes Holyglam, Beach Riot, CLT DRP and Wild Cat Strike.
