Here’s this week’s new music roundup, just in time for Easter, and with two of Brighton’s biggest bands with brand new releases. New first of these is The Go! Team who shared the video for their new single The Only Thing New is U Finding Out About It. Previously only available as a bonus track on the Japanese version of Semicircle, it’s now out as a single for the rest of the world:
Fujiya & Miyagi also have a brand new track out. Still travelling the world to support the 10th anniversary re-release of Transparent Things, they’ve managed to find the time to record and release a new track, apparently inspired by Columbo, called Subliminal Cuts:
Rockerswitch have teamed up with Malik Tokwe for their new single Just Not Getting It, which brings some much needed summer vibes:
Galangas are a new Brighton band who released their first single The Shadow earlier this week. It’ll be followed up with an EP, due in the summer, and you can catch the band live on 20th April at the Hope & Ruin supporting The Dials.
Thomas White, of Fiction Aisle, Electric Soft Parade, and Brakes fame is back with another new project. “Drone 1: Sinai Night Sky (for Foxy)” is the first release under his latest pseudonym Divine Androgyne and is 26 minutes of ambient drone:
Morning Myth have put out their second track in the space of the month, following up Murmur with Blurred Lines and Mysteries:
Next up is Fond of Rudy with Next. Their new single was premiered last week, and is up on Spotify now. Fond of Rudy’s next Brighton gig will be supporting The Tin Pigeons at the Hope & Ruin on 13th April.
One of my favourite views of Brighton is from up by the racecourse, so LosFeliz set themselves off on the right foot with the video for their new single Dove. Dove is taken from their album Ancestry, available now on Union Music Store’s label.
Other States have shared the first track from their upcoming Hokum Wonderland EP. The track’s called Both Worlds and comes out on 13th April. You can catch Other States live at the Quadrant on 7th April supporting Animal House.
Finally we have Blue Light, the new single from Victor Magick. Blue Light is Viktor’s sixth release since last August, so at this rate I’m sure it won’t be long before he’s featured again:
