We’ll hopefully have the third in our Brighton Rocks series for you some time this week, but until then, here’s a regular dose of new music. Our first track is the new one from Fröst, their third in about six months. Delta Antenna wouldn’t sound completely out of place if it had been put out by Steve Lewis’ other band Fujiya & Miyagi:

Another week, another new music roundup. We’re starting off this week with news of the new EP from Momotaro, who have been fairly quiet for the last few years. The new EP is called Places and is out on 5th May, and the first track from it that they’ve shared is the lovely Gone Days.
Brighton Rocks #2 : TEEFF

What’s the best thing about Brighton?
The people. I’ve lived in Brighton for nearly 10 years and in that time I’ve met so many free-spirited, creative individuals. That’s what’s kept me here. Lord knows it’s not the rent prices! Continue reading

Happy Easter! Are you still allowed to say that once you’re past Easter Sunday? Who knows. You’re all still enjoying an Easter Bank Holiday, that’s for sure (unless you’re working, in which case I apologise). Anyway, new music. It’s been a long time since the last proper release from Yumi & The Weather, but Distant Days is worth the wait. Cool-as-ice vocals flutter over effervescent electronic beats. It’s coming out on super-limited 7″ on MIOHMI records on 12th May and is backed with another new track called In The Night:
Brighton Rocks #1 : Jim Corbin from Sea Bed
Being called Brighton Music Blog, we don’t actually talk too much about Brighton. Sure, we write about plenty of bands from Brighton, but we don’t often go much beyond that. All that’s about to change with our new feature, Brighton Rocks, where we hear a bit more about what local bands like about Brighton, and get a shot of them somewhere unmistakeably familiar. First in the hot seat is Jim Corbin, from BMB favourites Sea Bed:

New Brighton Albums – Nick Cave, Fujiya & Miyagi, British Sea Power, Emma Gatrill, King Porter Stomp and The Physics House Band

It’s been less than a week since our last new music round up, but this week we have NINE new tracks to share. So without further ado… We got our first taste of Fröst last November when they shared their debut track Crackling on the Wire. Three months later they’ve shared another – this one is called Keratin:

Welcome to this week’s new music post. As usual it’s a real mixed bag, but this week it’s got more of an electronic slant. First up is a new release from Ital Tek, which came out this week but is made up of recordings from sessions from his album Hollowed in 2014/2015. The EP is called The Speed of Darkness, which is also the name of the ambient opening track, but the bandcamp page where you can buy the EP jumps straight to Time Out which is more familiar techno territory:

Hello! We’ve got a whole load of new music to share this week, so I’m going to skip the preamble (which is normally the bit that takes the longest to write anyway) and jump straight in with Hello Hello – the new single from Fickle Friends:

The music just keeps coming – Here’s this weeks new music round up. When we went to see AK/DK last week, we don’t remember them mentioning that they had a new release out, but it turns out that they do, and according to the release date on iTunes it was out the day of the gig. It’s a track called Lagom and comes backed with a Physics House Band remix:
