What’s the best thing about Brighton?
The people. I’ve lived in Brighton for nearly 10 years and in that time I’ve met so many free-spirited, creative individuals. That’s what’s kept me here. Lord knows it’s not the rent prices! Continue reading
The music just keeps coming – Here’s this weeks new music round up. When we went to see AK/DK last week, we don’t remember them mentioning that they had a new release out, but it turns out that they do, and according to the release date on iTunes it was out the day of the gig. It’s a track called Lagom and comes backed with a Physics House Band remix:
It’s December – we should be writing our end of year round up, but instead we’ve got more music to post, so here goes. Bentcousin actually sent us their new track nearly a month ago, but they sent it to us in a twitter DM and we missed it, but we’ve found it again, and here it is. Tonight I Feel Like I’m In Love is another collaboration with Alcatraz Electro and is a sizzling disco number:
Gang recently had a double A side out a few weeks ago. We featured the video for A side Dead when it came out, and now AA side Enough Nothing also has a video:
Emberhoney sent us their new video two days ago, and for us to turn things round that quickly is quite good for us, but in this case it’s not quite good enough, because it’s meant that we’ve missed out on telling you about their gig at the Brunswick tonight. Maybe if you ran down there as soon is I make this post you might catch the end of the set, but any later than that and you’ll just have to console yourself with the video for Some Kind of Alchemy:
A couple of years ago Us Baby Bear Bones were one of Brighton’s great hopes. They had great tunes, they had a unique style, but most of all they had charisma by the bucketload. But then in 2014 they split up and things have been quiet since, until today when Sun Sets East by TEEFF, a new project by UBBBs Puff Gandalfo, was premiered on the 405:
Lastly, Fear of Men have a new single out called Change Me, which is an alternate version of Erase (Aubade) from this year’s album Fall Forever. The band have got form for releasing alternate versions of their tracks (There was a French version of Luna a few years ago), and this release is a bit faster than the album version and has more percussion. You can buy the track on the Fear of Men Bandcamp page:
