New Brighton Music

After a couple of weeks of live posts, here’s our second new music post of the year.

Our first track this week is the new release from Adal called Synthesize. Tight eighties synths provide the perfect accompaniment to vocals provided by Alexanderson from Cardiff’s XY&O.

Next is Gone Today, taken from The Fiction Aisle‘s new album Jupiter, Florida which comes out tomorrow. The kind of track where I’d normally say “close your eyes and it might be summer”, but instead I’ll tell you to watch the video which instantly transports you to sun drenched days on the beach

Knightstown released their new single Charlatan last Friday. It comes backed with a remix by Pye Corner Audio, which can you can hear on Fat Cat records Soundcloud page:

Horses is the new single from Wild Cat Strike, out now on Small Pond. We actually gave it a mention last year when the audio went online, but now there’s a video too. You can catch Wild Cat Strike supporting LIRR at the Hope & Ruin a month today (18th Feb):

Finally we have KLAE who put out their debut single Fake a few weeks ago. You can catch them playing an acoustic gig at the Shakespeare’s Head on 1st Feb, or as a full band the following day at the Green Door Store for Femrock’s fifth birthday party.

It’s almost that time again – the highlight in the Brighton musical calendar, when anywhere you can fit in a PA becomes venue for a few days. Yes, this coming weekend is The Great Escape Festival. If you haven’t got yourself a ticket yet then you can get into all the Alt Escape stuff without one anyway.
