New Brighton Music

It’s a quiet week for new music, but it’s quality over quantity. First up is sometime member of Frost and The Larsens Johanna Bramli, whose debut solo EP came out last Friday. The five track EP is entitled Spirals and also features vocals from Debbie Clare:

Back with their first single in almost two years is Rockerswitch. Godzilian was an surprise midweek release, announced out of the blue yesterday:

Before Soph Nathan was in The Big Moon, and before she formed Our Girl, she posted a few tracks on Soundcloud under her own name, and one of those was an early demo of a track called Our Girl (which has long been taken down from the internet, although we did include it in a New Music post in July 2014). It’s now been recorded properly, and you can listen to it here:

The new single from Dove House came out earlier this month. Teeth had a launch gig at the Hope & Ruin, but will be playing live at the Haunt on 10th March,

The Hungry Mothers debut single Tiger Song came out last Friday on At The Helm Records. If you like what you hear, and are free on Thursday night then you can see the band live at the launch of the single at Latest Music Bar.


New Brighton Music

This week’s New Music post gives us here at Brighton Music Blog much happiness because this week we read about the return of The Go! Team. They’ve returned with a single called Semicircle Song, the first taste of an album of the same name. The single is out now, and the album follows in January, out on neon pink vinyl if you pick it up from Resident. There are also all sorts of bundles available from the Go! Team’s webstore too. Tickets are also onsale now for the launch gig which is at The Haunt on 11th February.
