This week’s New Music post gives us here at Brighton Music Blog much happiness because this week we read about the return of The Go! Team. They’ve returned with a single called Semicircle Song, the first taste of an album of the same name. The single is out now, and the album follows in January, out on neon pink vinyl if you pick it up from Resident. There are also all sorts of bundles available from the Go! Team’s webstore too. Tickets are also onsale now for the launch gig which is at The Haunt on 11th February.
Next we have the video for Pioneer by Common Tongues, which is the lead single from their album Divisions which came out in the summer:
Our next track is by a brand new Brighton band called Something Leather . They only played their first gig in the last month, and we haven’t received any info about their first track Shotgun Persona other than the title:
Red Deer People put out their new single C’est Bon on 7″ at the beginning of November. There’s a launch gig for it which takes place on 10th November at the Hope & Ruin with Porridge Radio and Jungfrau supporting.
A couple of days ago we had an email with some news from Island Club. They’ve just put out a new track called Irresistible which you can hear below, and have announced a headline gig at the Green Door Store on 9th December, their first Brighton date since May. No word yet on the supports, but we’ll keep you updated if we have any news:
Finally, a track that slipped through the cracks last month. Teeth is the first release from a new band called Swoon, whose members include Adam Macauley, formerly of Curxes.
