New Brighton Music

It’s been a fortnight since our last New Music roundup, so we’re playing catchup from the off. We’ll kick off with the new EP from Yonaka, Heavy, which came out last Friday. As mentioned in our gig preview post they’re playing in a few weeks time at Patterns, and then again at the Green Door Store in January. Here’s EP lead track Bubblegum:

We were away when Blood Red Shoes got in touch with us and told us that they had a track produced by Steven Ansell and released on their label Jazz Life that they wanted to send over. And then when they sent it the email dropped into our spam mailbox first time around so we missed it. Thankfully after a bit of chasing up, we’re pleased to share Circe‘s Blood and Wine

Dog in the Snow have put out a video for latest release from their upcoming album. Child is the second single to be taken from Consume Me, which comes out on 28th October. Keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming Brighton Rocks feature with Helen Brown:

Next up we have Warsaw Radio‘s new single Whispers. The launch gig for the single is on 25th October at the Hope & Ruin:

Come Back To Me is the new single from Other States, which came out at the end of September. Your next chance to catch Other States live show will be this Friday, when they’re on the bill at the New Faith’s album launch gig at the Brighthelm Centre.

Underwater Boys have shared the flip side to their newly released single Everyone You Know, which is a track called Bye & Bye. Since we’re talking about everyone else’s gigs, it’s only right that we mention that Underwater Boys will be supporting Dream Wife at their gig on October 21st.

Pink Narcissus‘ new EP Pig Miracle Day came out last Friday. Here’s the video for Time, featuring vintage footage from 1907. I’d mention their gig too, but it was last Sunday, so I missed it:

The Delta Bell‘s new album Hold Fast The Fire comes out later this month on Random Acts of Vinyl records. The launch party for the album is at Hotel Pelirocco on November 16th, and the lead single is Berlin:

Oceans new single Dopamine launched at the Green Door Store at the end of September. Their next local-ish gig is on October 24th in Worthing. Check out the band’s facebook page for more details.

Finally we have Knightstown‘s second single Eyes Wide Open. Looking at his facebook page, it seems that there’s an album nearly ready to go, so we’ll update with more info on that as we have it. In the mean time, you can catch Knightstown live at Dog in the Snow’s album launch that we mentioned in our October gig previews, or Matthew Hodson’s album launch which is this Saturday night at the Hope & Ruin.
