We don’t get out to nearly enough gigs (if there weren’t other priorities we might be at the Hope & Ruin watching Arxx right now), and we certainly don’t get to enough gigs armed with a camera, but we did make it along to the launch of Projector‘s new single Go Ahead at the Rialto last Friday. Here’s our pics, click through to view large Continue reading

New Brighton Music
Here’s this week’s new music post, which starts a bit differently from normal because the first track I wanted to share isn’t online as far as I can see – It’s the Record Store Day release from Blood Red Shoes’ Jazz Life record label, and the release is called AA Sessions Volume One. It features contributions from AK/DK, Blood Red Shoes, Tigercub, Sick Joy and Projector. Hopefully by the time you read this they might still have a copy at Resident. If not, give Cult Hero, Vinyl Revolution or Rarekind a try. There’s only 500 for the whole country though, so good luck. Continue reading

What’s the best thing about Brighton?
Simon: Most definitely the people here, it’s hard to find another place where you instantly feel so comfortable and vibe off other people. The sea is alright as well.
Ferg: I like how small it is too. Some people don’t like that but it’s nice being able to walk from one end to the other in half an hour. I don’t like public transport Continue reading
