The north laine, the music scene, the Pride parade, drinking on the beach… it’s where I’ve grown up and I love all of it

Red Deer People, Prince Vaseline, Grymm, Sauna Youth, Prinzhorn Dance School, & Bentcousin

What’s the best venue?
A three-way tie between Green Door Store, Hope & Ruin, and Prince Albert. It’s not strictly a venue, but Hotel Pelirocco deserves a mention too…

What’s the best rehearsal space / studio?
Nowhere beats Small Pond in price & friendliness. Also, FREE BEER FRIDAYS!?!?

What’s the best club?
Can’t say I’ve been to enough to choose a favourite

What’s the best record shop?
Resident Records. Definitely not swayed by my job there.

Where’s the best places to eat?
La Choza’s and Pompoko are both great

What’s the best pub?
The Heart & Hand, for the staff and the jukebox
